I have been working in the Hong Kong pop music industry for some years.  Vocal performance is my primary work, although I also do composition, arrangement, and vocal training occasionally.  

I feel so lucky to have music coloring my everyday life, and the opportunities to work with great musicians are just big fat bonuses
that I treasure.

  Singing

Vocal performance is mostly what I do. But you won't see me much because I'm always behind the scene. That little dark spot in the band stand? Oh yes, that's me - singing backing vocal right there!  

I have performed in concerts with local artists such as Twins, Kelly Chan, Faye Wong, Joey Yung, Sammy Cheng, Sandy Lam, Sally Yip, Alan Tam, Sam Hui, Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Anthony Lun, Arron Kwok, Leon Lai, Hacken Lee, Deanie Yip, Donald Cheung, Karen Mok, etc.

I also do a lot of vocal arrangement and recording in the studio, mostly for CD productions, and occasionally for projects that I really like - film and commercial jigles.  I find them challenging because sometimes you have clients asking you "Can you sing more delicious, May?" ... Sure.

I began writing canto-pop songs in my spare time around 1997, and was lucky to have somebody liked my works.  

Composition is a fulfilling experience which could hardly be described with words, but agonizing at times when my creative muses went for holiday break.

Here you will find some of my earlier works.  Although they have already been published, I would rather share with you my demos in its raw form, and leave you the space to fly your imagination.

Singing for Joy Workshop

I figured it would be great to be able to share with other people my experience and the joy of singing .  So I decided to accept a small number of private students who need a little help in improving their vocal skills.  Just click here for details if you are interested.

I admire the energy and the insatiable curiosity of children.  So I went all the way to get near them and released a series of May 姐姐 children gospel music CDs.  I am very grateful to God for sending me angels of all sizes to sing these new songs.
